The International and Public Affairs Departmental Undergraduate Group (DUG) promotes the International and Public Affairs concentration and supports International and Public Affairs concentrators and prospective students. The DUG convenes general body meetings, organizes and sponsors events targeted at community-building, and works in close contact with the IAPA faculty and staff to ensure undergraduate students concentrating in IAPA are well-informed and engaged.

Riyana Srihari '27
Riyana is a senior concentrating in IAPA (Development) with a focus on immigrant and refugee communities' rights and public health. She is excited to collaborate with the IAPA DUG team to foster a vibrant and welcoming Watson community! Beyond her role in the IAPA DUG, Riyana conducts research on immigration detention at the Justice Policy Lab, tutors with the Brown Refugee Youth Tutoring and Enrichment organization, and is Co-President of the Brown Concert Agency and a barista at the Underground, She is excited to talk about getting involved in the local community, her international and domestic internship experiences, and her favorite ice cream spots in Providence!

Michele Togbe '27
Michele Togbe ‘27 is a senior concentrating in IAPA on the Policy and Governance track. Her academic interests include refugees and forced displacement, borders and immigration policy, democratic backsliding, and comparative politics, with a transregional focus on West Africa and the Sahel and Western Europe. Outside of IAPA DUG, Michele is involved with the Africa Initiative, the Black Star Journal, and other organizations on and off campus. She is super excited to connect students with opportunities and resources, help them navigate IAPA, and support them as they explore their interests within the concentration.
