On Wednesday, February 9, Zanagee Artis and Jeff Colgan attended a 3rd-grade classroom at the Croft School in Providence, Rhode Island, to discuss Zanagee's book, A Kids Book About Climate Change, and the effects of climate change on their community.

In the pursuit of honoring international human rights, post-conflict rehabilitation and international public service, Mariana Villar ’22 spent the summer of 2021 researching Tuberculosis in Peru and the impact a diagnosis has on the patient's caregiver. Through the Watson Institute's Marla Ruzicka International Fellowship, Villar was able to conduct her research on-site in Peru.

Alex Barba ’18 MPA discusses her experience in the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs MPA program and how it prepared her for her position as the Director of Colorado Outbreak Response Coordination for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Madison Paulk is a current student in the Graduate Program in Development at the Watson Institute. She is involved with the Africa Initiative as her research interests specifically include urban anthropology and public art in South Africa. She is completing her dissertation research in Durban.
