The Watson Institute houses several undergraduate and graduate programs that take an interdisciplinary, comparative approach to policy-relevant learning in the social sciences. Our programs are designed to inspire today’s engaged scholars and creative thinkers to become tomorrow’s leaders in international and public affairs.

  

On March 12, in response to the growing spread of the coronavirus, President Paxson announced that for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester, Brown classes would take place remotely. Classes were canceled for the week of March 16 to enable students living on campus or in Brown-owned properties to pack and leave and to give faculty time to transition their courses to remote learning.

The Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, in collaboration with the Swearer Center at Brown University, is pleased to announce the newest participants of the Brown in Washington program for the Spring 2020 semester. Representing a variety of backgrounds and majors, these ten students will spend the semester building on their knowledge and experience in the public policy sphere.
