Ieva Jusionyte wins multiple awards for latest book ‘Exit Wounds’

Ieva Jusionyte’s 2024 book, "Exit Wounds: How America’s Guns Fuel Violence Across the Border," has won multiple awards, including the Juan E. Méndez Book Award and two awards from the Association of American Publishers.

Ieva Jusionyte, director of the Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Studies and Watson Family University Professor of International Security and Anthropology, won numerous awards for her 2024 book, “Exit Wounds: How America’s Guns Fuel Violence Across the Border.” Those include the Juan E. Méndez Book Award for Human Rights in Latin America presented by the Duke Human Rights Center; the R.R. Hawkins Award for outstanding scholarly works and the PROSE Award for Excellence in Social Sciences, both from the Association of American Publishers; and the Luciano Tomassini Latin American International Relations Book Award honorable mention.
