Peter Andreas awarded the 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award from the International Association for the Study of Organized Crime

Peter Andreas has received the 2024 Distinguished Scholar Award from the International Association for the Study of Organized Crime, recognizing his outstanding contributions to organized crime research.

The International Association for the Study of Organized Crime (IASOC) recognizes exceptional contributions to organized crime studies through its Annual Prizes. In 2024, awards are being given in four categories: Best Journal Article in the Journal of Illicit Economies and Development (JIED), Best Ph.D. Thesis/Dissertation, Best Book, and Distinguished Scholar.  Peter Andreas, John Hay Professor of International Studies and Political Science, has been honored as this year’s Distinguished Scholar for his groundbreaking work in the field.
