
Adam Reiffen
Biography
Adam Reiffen is a Federal Executive Fellow from the Department of Defense at the Watson School of International and Public Affairs. He is a Commander-select in the Navy who most recently served as the Flag Intelligence Officer (N21) for Carrier Strike Group ONE (CSG-1) permanently embarked aboard USS CARL VINSON (CVN 70). While serving as the CSG-1 N21, Adam made two deployments to the Indo-Pacific region and participated in Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024, the world’s largest naval exercise held biennially in and around Hawaii. He has further operational experience in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and has served in training, acquisitions, and attaché affairs roles ashore. He also served as a Navy Legislative Fellow assigned to the office of Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) in 2020. Adam is a graduate of the Joint and Combined Warfare School of the Joint Forces Staff College; Naval Command and Staff College of the US Naval War College; and the Naval Postgraduate School. Adam earned a Master of International Public Policy degree with a concentration in Strategic Studies from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. He received bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Romance Languages (French, Italian, Portuguese) from The Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.
