Xuewei An recently earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from New York University. She has completed research that examines the learning outcomes, mental health and social and economic gap between urban and rural Chinese children. Xuewei hopes to work on critical issues involving education inequality of rural children in China after graduation. Xuewei speaks Mandarin and Japanese. She is from Beijing, China.
