The Policy in Action Project — a hands-on work and learning venture — is the capstone to every MPA student’s education at Brown. The MPA Program curates high-profile partnerships with governmental and non-governmental agencies across the country and around the world. The suite of projects also includes several in the Providence and Rhode Island area, allowing MPA students to see the tangible impact of their efforts.

Biography
Emma Vega earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations with minors in political communication and public administration from Texas State University. Her interest in renewable energy policy began during an internship with H-E-B’s environmental compliance division. As Chair of the Sustainability Committee in student government, she led efforts to expand research funding for endangered species. Most recently, she interned with a public affairs firm during the Texas legislative session. Emma is passionate about environmental and health policy, especially in strengthening communication between the public and private sectors. She is from Gonzales, Texas.
