Biography

Elisabeth (Lizzy) Bernold recently received her bachelor’s degree in international and public affairs with a certificate in data fluency from Brown University.  As a special assistant, Lizzy worked in the office of Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos throughout her undergraduate career, coordinating legislative affairs and conducting research on topics from affordable housing to long-term care facilities. She completed internships at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and United States Senate and has conducted research on gender equity in congressional staff career progression. Lizzy hopes to continue working to bring evidence-based policy practices to state and local government.
