Elena Liyou Bernardi

Biography

Elena Bernardi has worked with FHI360, The World Bank, and a British risk-assessment firm on topics of conflict resolution, international development, countering violent extremism, and intelligence. She most recently worked with various institutions in Seattle around labor management, community development and DEI, and has been leading the public relations efforts of a private Ethiopian museum. Her interests are at the intersection of public opinion, security, and Public-Private Partnerships.  Elena obtained her bachelor's degree in peacebuilding and development from Eastern Mennonite University with foundations in law from Université Libre de Bruxelles. Elena is fluent in Amharic and French and proficient in Italian and Spanish.  She is from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
