Biography

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University's Watson School of International and Public Affairs.  I study the domestic politics of US foreign policy, focused on Congress and public opinion.  My book project aims to explain the origins, contours, and consequences of Congress’s engagement with the American public on US foreign relations; a related paper co-won the 2025 Best Graduate Student Paper Award from the American Political Science Association's Foreign Policy section.  Some of my other academic research has been published in the Journal of Politics, Journal of Peace Research, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Cold War Studies. I received a PhD in political science from Duke University in June 2025, and have previously held affiliations with the America in the World Consortium, the TriangIe Institute for Security Studies, and Duke's American Grand Strategy program.
