Biography

Melody Diaz received her bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College with concentrations in political science, psychology and visual art. Currently, she serves on the Commissioners Advisory Panel (CAP) of Special Education for New York State, focusing on special education policy. Moving forward, she hopes to work on issues tackling fundamental obstacles in policy creation. Melody is interested in how the government can benefit public interests by offering crucial services - this directly aligns with her other goal of one day running her father’s non-profit organization, the Albany Latin Fest Foundation.
