Poulami Roychowdhury, associate professor of sociology and international and public affairs, received a 2026 Seed Award from Brown University's Division of Research for a project examining what drives women's political preferences.
Roychowdhury is principal investigator on the project, "Welfare, Security, Representation: What Drives Women's Political Preferences?"
The Division of Research Seed Program supports preliminary work and collaboration that help Brown researchers develop competitive research proposals. This year, donor gifts expanded the funding available to the program.
