Pablo Ottonello is the Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Family Professor of International Studies and the Social Sciences at the Watson School of International and Public Affairs and the Department of Economics at Brown University, and a Research Fellow at the NBER. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in 2015. Prior to joining Brown, he was a faculty member at the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland, a Kenen Fellow at Princeton University, a Principal Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, and held visiting positions at Harvard Business School and New York University. Professor Ottonello’s research spans the fields of Macroeconomics, International Economics, Finance, and Monetary Economics. His research agenda focuses on economic crises, the interaction between financial markets and macroeconomic dynamics, and the role of macroeconomic policies in development. He is a Co-Editor of the Journal of International Economics and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Monetary Economics.
