Kyler Groner

Biography

Kyler earned a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Kyler previously worked on a federally-funded initiative to address the opioid epidemic in eastern Tennessee.  In addition, he recently completed a national study that quantified the impact of incarceration on racial and urban-rural health disparities at the county level. Kyler is interested in policies related to healthcare accessibility, the criminal justice system, and income inequality.

Three Watson Master of Public Affairs students and one alumna were named finalists for the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows class of 2024. They are now eligible to apply for positions as fellows in the federal workforce where they hope to make an impact on a variety of public policy issues.
