Biography
Sarah Carpenter is an emergency medicine physician who has historically worked in safety net hospitals with underserved populations. She is currently a Social Emergency Medicine Fellow at Brown University where she is focusing on healthcare policy. Her experience working with the American Medical Association and Massachusetts Medical Society as well as Physicians for Human Rights informs her work in the policy sphere. Prior to her medical career, Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in Global Medicine and Human Rights at Tufts University. She is fluent in Spanish, conversational in French, and can haggle with a food vendor in Amharic.
