Biography

Salwa Naveed recently earned her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in political science and computer science. During her undergraduate studies, she interned with Dewey Square Group, supporting public affairs and policy advocacy initiatives in Massachusetts while developing tools to track legislative proposal updates. She also interned with InstaTrac, a tech-company focused on legislative tracking and policy data management. Her academic and research interests include technology policy, artificial intelligence governance, algorithmic bias, and accessible policymaking. During her senior capstone, Salwa researched racial bias in AI systems and policy reforms related to hiring and criminal justice technologies. She is from Connecticut.
