Biography

Nusaibah Arif recently earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in international relations and global studies and history, with a minor in Chinese. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a Prevention Intern with the Asian Family Support Services of Austin, where she supported advocacy initiatives and assisted with Afghan refugee resettlement efforts, building on earlier experience in lobbying and advocacy for children’s education rights through UNICEF USA. Nusaibah’s policy interests include climate migration, refugee resettlement, human rights and national security. She is proficient in Bengali and has working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
