Nancy Donohue is the Vice Chair and Co-Founder of Summit Rock Advisors. 

Summit Rock Advisors provides financial advice and portfolio management for a select number of U.S.-based families and charitable institutions. The firm serves as the outsourced investment office for each client, providing independent advice and customized solutions. Summit Rock oversees approximately $30 billion for 53 clients.

Nancy has played a central role in building and leading the Summit Rock investment program, first as Chief Investment Officer and later as Chief Investment Strategist. 

Today Nancy is focused on long-term stewardship and evolution of Summit Rock’s investment program. She contributes strategic perspective and idea generation, informed by active engagement with managers and peers across the endowment, foundation, and family office community. She shares investment views with clients and supports the achievement of their goals. She guides the firm’s next generation leaders and is a catalyst for learning and growth for the team. 

Prior, Nancy served as vice president for external management at Harvard Management Company. She was responsible for $16 billion, approximately half of the university’s endowment. Nancy also led investments for Harvard Master Trust, the university’s defined benefit pension plan.

Nancy was recently named to Forbes 50 Women Over 50 for her positive role in the investment community. She is a graduate of Brown University, a graduate of Harvard Business School and member of the Alumni Advisory Board. She is a board member of Mountainfilm, a documentary film festival with educational tours based in Telluride Colorado.
