Biography

Maria Diniz recently earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University with dual concentrations in international and public affairs and history. During an internship with the Ditchley Foundation, she focused on creating a plan for the institution to expand its network of policymakers and stakeholders in the field of education, particularly in climate-related fields. Maria is proficient in Portuguese and French, and is also conversational in Italian, Spanish and Dutch. She hopes to work on critical issues around environmental policy, climate change mitigation, and indigenous land rights. As an undergraduate, Maria was a member of ensemble theatre at Brown and directed a musical in her senior year. She is from the city of Itajai, in southern Brazil.
