Hythem El-Nazer is Co-Managing Partner of TA Associates (TA), a leading global private equity firm focused on scaling growth in profitable companies. Since its founding in 1968, TA has raised $65 billion in capital and invested in more than 560 companies. As Chair of TA’s Management Committee, Co-Head of the North America Technology Group, and a member of the firm’s Executive, Core Investment and Portfolio Committees, Hythem is responsible for guiding TA’s investment strategy and overseeing all aspects of firm management. In addition to leading the firm, he remains deeply engaged in sourcing, underwriting, and building technology companies, drawing on more than 25 years of experience partnering with exceptional founders and executives.

Since joining TA in 2004, Hythem has sponsored 31 investments across North America, Europe, India and the Middle East, and supported more than 300 strategic add-on acquisitions for TA portfolio companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Advantive, Appfire, Aptean, Certinia, CSI, Gamma Technologies, Govineer Solutions, Idera, IEX, Kinective, KX, Lumivero, Momentive Software, MRI Software, PDI, and Sovos.

Hythem serves on the Board of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) and is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Hythem earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, an AB degree in Economics from Brown University and a General Course degree from the London School of Economics.
