Biography

Lt Col Cha graduated from Korea Military Academy as an infantry officer in 2005. (He took part in training course at the German officer school, 2002~2004). Afterwards, he was commissioned as an infantry officer and performed in a mechanized infantry unit. After experiencing a platoon leader and staff position in the mechanized Infantry, he volunteered for the Special Forces and performed practical operations and missions. He gained a variety of experiences as an instructor at a combat training center(KCTC), the Presidential Security Service, and the border operations unit at the DMZ. He completed his position as a battalion commander in the Special Forces and plans to serve as a staff assistant afterward. He studied a master's degree in politics-economics-religious philosophy at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland(2011), and a master's degree in military studies at ETH Zurich, Switzerland(2016).
