Catherine Butera earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Providence College with a minor in communications. She recently had the privilege of interning for Congressman Jake Auchincloss within his district office in Newton, Massachusetts. Throughout her time with Congressman Auchincloss, Catherine conducted research on H.R.6390, known as the “Make Housing Affordable and Defend Democracy Act”, to present to the Congressman for his consideration of cosponsoring. This research strengthened her interest in social policy and human rights, which she hopes to contribute to through work in political communication. Catherine has lived in five Massachusetts towns, currently hailing from Norfolk, Massachusetts.
