Brenda J. Vargas recently earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University with dual concentrations in political science and Hispanic literature and culture.  Previously, Brenda served as a Student Immigration Advocate with the Student Clinic for Immigrant Justice (SCIJ), a youth-led organization dedicated to expanding access to legal representation for asylum seekers by training college students to support immigration attorneys and clients.  Brenda aspires to seek elected office and to ensure that the voices of working-class and immigrant families are represented in government.  She is fluent in Spanish and from Las Vegas, NV.
